Electrochemical oxidation of benzene to phenol.

چکیده
Gas-phase electrochemistry: The direct hydroxylation of benzene to phenol was investigated using an electrochemical cell. The production of phenol over a VO(x) anode was found to be significant at 50 °C. The resultant current efficiency for phenol production and selectivity toward phenol reached 76.5 and 94.7 %, respectively.

Direct oxidation of benzene to phenol in liquid phase by H2O2 over vanadium catalyst supported on highly ordered nanoporous silica
Vanadium supported on highly ordered nanoporous silica (VOx-LUS-1) was synthesized and characterized by XRD, Nitrogen adsorption‑desorption isotherms and UV-visible spectrophotometer. Direct oxidation of benzene to phenol in liquid phase by H2O2 peroxide were examined by using various solvents (methanol, acetone, acetic acid, acetonitryl). The maximum yield (25%) and selectivity (73%) of the ph...

Multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) modified DNA based biosensors were prepared by immobilizing dsDNA over MWCNT coated graphite electrode. The film forming abilities of MWCNT coated graphite electrodes were studied using Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) and Cyclic Voltammetry (CV) by placing the electrodes in electrolyte containing redox couple. Differential Pulse Voltammetry (DP...

The aim of this electrochemical study was to ascertain which position of hydroxy groups on a benzene ring provides electroactive products after enzymatic oxidation by laccase originating from the Trametes versicolor mushroom, exhibiting intense redox signals that are exploitable for their amperometric determination. The electrochemical properties of phenol together with all isomers of benzenedi...

Benzene, an important industrial solvent, is also present in unleaded gasoline and cigarette smoke. The hematotoxic effects of benzene in humans are well documented and include aplastic anemia, pancytopenia, and acute myelogenous leukemia. However, the risks of leukemia at low exposure concentrations have not been established. A combination of metabolites (hydroquinone and phenol, for example) ...
متن کاملC3N4-H5PMo10V2O40: a dual-catalysis system for reductant-free aerobic oxidation of benzene to phenol
Hydroxylation of benzene is a widely studied atom economical and environmental benign reaction for producing phenol, aiming to replace the existing three-step cumene process. Aerobic oxidation of benzene with O2 is an ideal and dream process, but benzene and O2 are so inert that current systems either require expensive noble metal catalysts or wasteful sacrificial reducing agents; otherwise, ph...
